B has been bugging me about something, a new car. See, ever since Ranger had an untimely demise, we were stuck with an old '93 Pontiac that was imported from Edmonton (from B's dad's garage). And uh, it's not a very pleasant sight but it brings us to points A&B - Z so what the heck! It runs and it's has not conked on us (yet) - so, we should still use it.
Today, B has been frequenting car websites and has been making calculations for a Civic. Ohmygawd - are you ok?????? We're paying off everything by ourselves for this wedding and we wanted to get our house soon (yes, mortgage and downpayments!!!) so a brand new car is not in our agenda. But, B was adamant. Here's how our convo sounded today.
B: Hi hun, I went to the Honda site.
Me: Uh-huh.
B: It's just $247 a month for a Civic.
Me: Ok...?
B: We can afford it.
Me: Zero downpayment?
B: No, 2 grand.
Me: Hmmmm... yes, but we still have payables for the wedding and you still have to book the hotels for the honeymoon, hello... :P
B: I know... but don't you have a line of credit... ?
Me: Well, my line of credit is for emergency purposes only, hun...
B: Hunnnnnn... did you see my car???????
Me & B: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
After a longer outburst of laughter...
Me: Ok, let's see about that after our wedding ok? :)
B: Okay hun. Love you!
End of convo. OMG, I have tears in my eyes from laughing! :P
