Changes.

This powerful word - according to one horoscope I read, is what defines my year 2006. I guess lots of it shape my everyday existence. How does change fare so far?

1. Heidi left for Fort Mac - who wouldn't???? Money abounds and because she's pretty much assured of the same job in FM and it will be a chance to be with her guy - why wouldn't you go - even if the housing market is to the roof????? That meant, we have a new AE - in the meantime, it's Shannon.

2. Ranger bowed out of our lives. B is driving a Hyundai Accent right now courtesy of Discount Cars - and gold! aaakkkk - very Chinese. lol. (Nothing bad about it - but it's a running joke that gold is mostly a colour reserved for the wealthy...)

3. Gown colour change. In line with the colour talk, Veluz and I spoke over the phone last Tuesday and she told me of these new developments:
  • That my mom will get fitted this Friday - I hope this goes well!
  • That V will be sending all our fitting / lining garments with swatches. Yay!
  • That she will enclose a sample embroidery of my gown - totally not expecting this!!! I know this to be Veluz's trait. She MORE THAN makes up for the tardiness.
  • That she will provide another sample in an off-white coloured gown - shocked the heck out of me! haha She's really going out on a limb so I know exactly what I would want. Now, THAT is SERVICE at its FINEST.
  • That my crinoline won't get in the way even if we have a choreographed dance. Yay!!!
  • That she will provide a loop for my bustle! OMG! You are so lovely, Veluz!!! :)

4. We might be getting B's Pontiac '93 green (don't like the colour - but beggars can't be choosers eh?) 4-door Sunbird this weekend. It's re-done by B's dad - bless your heart, Doug! and should run smooth - until we decide to purchase a new one. Well, not till we get our first house! :P So, yes - B will be driving a car - a first in who-knows-how long!

5. A new job for my loving sweetheart. After a long, arduous process of job search - he finally accepted an offer that boosts not just his economic status - but a welcome change to work life. He is going to be working a desk-job post for a big Canadian company with branches in Europe and Asia. It's a technical/specialist position (yeah, stepdown from his Managerial post now) but opportunities abound with at least - an organized company. The kicker? He will work downtown! YAY!!!!!! Do I sense lunch out all the time? hahahaha

6. Because he will work downtown and parking is hellish - does that mean we'll just commute everyday????

The only thing constant in our lives is change. Live it, savour it, love it. Thank you Lord for giving us wisdom and understanding. Sometimes, you present us with things that are different - so we resist it. But, you are Greatest and you know what's best. Amen.
