Structural Elements 101

Ok, am reverse-date blogging. lol Life has been so busy that documentation of several things had to be 'just now' instead of 'as of the moment'.

Sometime in May after we have received the final mortgage commitment and submitted all required paperwork to the sales person of the builder, we set our heart to really checking our new 'project' and it's wonderful to see how it has progressed!

The first you're going to see here would be the 'structural' elements. In my words, skeletons. lol I had a hard time imagining things because what was in the floor plan was the interior and the wood, planks, 2x4s that are visible to me don't thrill me at all. hahaha The first pic is the main floor's big window.

This one shows that there's a floor already. Remember the square hole? This hole has been covered with what seemed like our 'floor' now.

Then, hubby who was always excited as if it's Christmas time-giddy, took more pictures of what was done - this time, photographing what seemed to be the area going to the deck.

The next batch of pictures were taken sometime in May 2007 still. Notice how fast this 'project' came about!?!?!? We have roof already!!! (Well, not totally done then but heck, the 'look' of the Winchester house is slowly taking shape. Yay!!!) Do you see the little make-shift ladder? We had to use that to get in the house. lol

So they have already started the 2nd floor of the house. Below are some of the pictures of the bedrooms. The first one is the master's and you can actually see the blueprint of the house (the one hanging by the wall) - this angle was taken with the linen closet skeleton in the photo.

The second one is the 2nd bedroom across from the master's. Partially hidden on the right side of the picture are 'brown' stuff (I called it cardboard as it looked like that) that goes with the wall. Apparently, these are 'new codes' added to new homes being built as protection against fire hazard.

In this picture, you can 'envision' how our small kitchen will look like. The left-most has the partition to where the fridge will go next to the small pantry. Notice to the right side of the picture looks like a hole? This is the way towards our half-bath and another landing further to the basement.

Next up are June photos.
