The Big Day - September 16, 2006 (Photo Shoot)

Our wedding ceremony was over by 2:30pm - and this even includes the Rose Ceremony. After a brief picture taking by St. Joe's facade, we are ready to head to Confederation Park.

The men were rowdy afterall, their main duties are done! :) There were glasses of red wine being passed around the limo, our signature water bottle, and some riesling to warm us up. Not to forget the chicken sandwiches we were munching that was prepped in our jacuzzi room at Radisson because we were too dang busy to even go down in the restaurant and have breakfast. Jeff was bugging me to drink (bottoms up) the red wine he got for us. Gah, me and red wine - was he kidding!??!?! :P I got it and drank it in like 7 seconds! (I guess he didn't know that I can drink better than B, hahaha).

We got to Confederation Park in no time. The little girls were dressed in their winter parka with their pink parasols in tow. We started with them first because it was chilly and ugh, windy! :(

We probably stayed there for a total of 20 minutes - so yeah, not much of a photo shoot - it was shoot, shoot, shoot then let's pack up kinda thing because we have a tot (my 4 month old niece) who was breastfeeding from her mom (my MOH) and Joaquin (my nephew) who that time was having runny nose... So, not much of a group photo for families as they were all gritting their teeth from the cold. It was clear but windy by the time we were doing our shoot so we thought, let's give them some rest.

Funny thing that is worth mentioning here was the boo-boo of Jeff. See, Theo (our limo driver) probably has mouse ears as he can definitely hear us at the back doing all the story and joke telling because Jeff who was very ecstatic that he has a new sister-in-law (me) was telling everyone that he wanted to start the party right now (in the limo) and wants to get more booze. He went on and on with finding a liquor store so he can get white wine (as the riesling was downed in 10 minutes). Good old Theo gladly obliged and everyone was puzzled. We were asking ourselves - where the heck are we going?!?!?! Only then did we realize that he's pulling off to park because across the street was the Liquor Store! hahaha So, imagine Jeff's embarrassment - all the boys (and the girls) were now ribbing him because Theo did park as he thought someone said, we need more booze! hahaha And you know what?!?!? Our dutiful photographer followed him inside the liquour store! hahaha Jeff, when he came back got a Sawmill Creek (yikes, cheap-o! hahaha) because apparently, he only got 20 bucks with him! And, he was all RED (as in!) because Bruce was snapping photos of him while inside the store and I think Jeff was inquired about if he was a celebrity! hahaha So it was our turn to bug him, who did the store clerk thought you were, Jeff??? :) He said, ME! Jeff N, Esquire. (You know, from the Ad of ESQ and because I gave ESQ watch to B as my wedding present.)

Anyhow, our next stop was Eau Claire and Prince's Island Park. This is (still) our date place. As my cousin and gf were too dang cold (they were wearing backless, haltered tops and while they had a wrap and a bolero, the wind is just too cold for them), we just had the boys and me go down the whole walk of Eau Claire - from the big 1988 Calgary Olympics thingy to the bridge to the long parks of Prince's Island. We initially wanted to go to the 'rock' but because the grounds were wet, we thought, nahhhh - that's fine.

Theo took us the scenic way and drove us to the posh Crescent Heights. Our visitors were happy as they are seeing Calgary's skyline. Actually, this could have been our next stop for pictures but we thought otherwise as it's an open area - and therefore, very windy place!

We drove back to Radisson at exactly 5pm. We have one more hour to kill then it's cocktails time.
