The last day of 2006.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to All!

The past weeks were a whirl of things, I neglected the blog. Bad!!! :(

Our last day of work was Dec 21 - and it was crazy busy with student orientations and the forever problematic class list/ schedules c/o a very competent department in the college. In short, aside from me helping K with the rest of entering marks from all onsite and offsite locations, we managed to get everything done by 4pm. But, it's a different story by January when students come in for their classes and we don't know where they should be - because the competent department f*%ked up the list.

The Christmas weekend saw us driving to different parts of the cities. C, my sister, had a birthday celebration on the 23rd and on the 24th, we were at B's mom's place for brunch. The evening was reserved for my family. We always celebrate on the eve and it works good for us because that meant the Christmas morning/day was just the two of us.

Joaquin and Gianna, our nephew and niece were too busy opening their toys while the adults were getting tired at 11:30pm. lol. We were home at midnight and B & I opened our gifts for each other. ;) I got Tiffany jewelries and a humungous jewelry case from Pottery Barn, the Barefoot Contessa cookbook + Cookie and pastry Press from Williams-Sonoma. Yay!!!

My hunny got his Palm T/X bundle - that arrived on the 22nd - thank God!!! :) And a new suit from Banana Republic + his messenger bag from BR too. Inside the bag were 2 gift cards - one is a Chapter's card and the other one was from the Montana's chain of restaurants.

We finally got our DVD movie from Romy. Harmen was not in contact with us - but it's better if Romy was at the helm because he's easier to talk to. He gave us 5 copies and we should be happy until we realized that they put Brian (what?!?!?!?!) for B's name! The label copy was wrong but the real DVD movie/video of our wedding was correct. Romy said he'll send us new copies instead. I think that's really good.

Now, the saga with our dang photographer is still very much on. He has not responded to my emails after he f&*ked up again and not deliver his promise. It's been 100+ days since our wedding although in our contract, it explicitly said 45 days. What's worse, he has been uploading someone else's pictures - and the clincher was another couple's wedding pictures (who got hitched on the 23rd, ours was the 16th of September) are already up and running. How seriously bad is that??!?! We don't know if our pictures are lost, damaged or what not. He just dodges the question - plain and simple.

We have initiated some action. We are just waiting to hear from some people before sending our formal complaints. In the meantime, I'm doing my research on small claims court because this is truly unacceptable!

While the holidays have been restful and quite hectic, it has been good - save for the stress of non-delivery of our pictures because we were promised that they will be available on the 24th of December. Needless to say, our families were disappointed because they really wanted to see our pictures - but what can we do?!!?!?

On the last day of this year, we look forward to a peaceful, happy and healthy 2007. May the new year bring us renewed hope and greater commitment to love, peace and happiness.

Take care, everyone.
