Happy Halloween! :)

It's the last day of October and all over North America - people dress up funny or weird and yes, carve that pumpkin to celebrate Halloween... and do you know that it's the second largest occasion in the Americas where people actually come out and decorate???

Coming from an Asian background, we take souls and spirits with high degree of reverence and I remember trooping to the cemetery with my folks - light candles, say the rosary and even have some good chit chats with relatives who visit our grandparents' grave but no, we don't don a witch or an Elvis Presley costume... yes, that's one of the staggering things that shocked (not necessarily bad though) my system ever since I called Canada my home...

Anyhow, it still is nice seeing my co-workers come out in their best take of a witch or milk-maid or what not... and today, our 14-month old nephew will be in a Winnie the Pooh costume... isn't that neat???

Just a brief update on wedding stuff, we stopped by and saw Lola last Saturday to put a deposit on our wedding rings that are on layaway... yesterday, we went to Sunridge to set up our Home Outfitters registry but got sort of pissed when they said that they can't help us until 1pm... duh! So, off we went to Pier1 and Ikea to take a breather... hahaha... Well, we ended up buying stuff for Auntie Ading (whose birthday is tomorrow) from both stores and yes, more wedding details from Ikea too! Oh, and we bought a Christmas present from Home Outfitters for the Mercados... hopefully they'll like it! :)

Yes, busy weekend!!!
